Your first session is all about understanding what’s going on for you and what you want to change or be different in your life. This leads on to setting goals for therapy and working together to achieve them.
CBT is short term, typically between 6 to 12 sessions. Each session is on a 1 : 1 basis, is structured, collaborative, educational and focussed on the here and now.
